The Western Pacific Fellowship Project was founded in 2019 to promote practical academic and professional training of civil servants across the Indo-Pacific.
Skills: Web Design, Web Development, Content Management, Content Migration
Web Design: Circuit Street Design conducted a stem-to-stern redesign of the primary Western Pacific website that delivered a colorful and energetic visual punch. Improved usability and readability on mobile devices were critical to this design, and responsive features were included for improved compatibility with a wide variety of devices.
Web Development/Content Management: The redesigned site was implemented in WordPress for it’s low barrier of entry, vast ecosystem of resources, and broad capacity for customization. In fact, such customization will be critical for the next step in WFPF’s evolution as it hopes to secure stewardship of a government funded fellowship program.
WordPress: Specific WordPress features used in the WPFP project include theme customization, bespoke plugins, unique content blocks, custom post types, and more!
Content Migration: Populating the new website involved both automated tools (for normalized content from the original site such as news and articles) and manual migration of select content for newly designed pages.
